Et voilà le travail ! La compilation Digging the Blogosphere est disponible en digital dès aujourd'hui sur l'ITunes Store et toutes les autres plateformes de téléchargement légal.

Pour l'édition vinyle (un double LP collector tiré à 500 exemplaires), il faudra encore attendre le 19 mars avant de foncer dans votre épicerie musicale et plonger au coeur de cette sélection de 14 perles dénichées sur le net et qui oscille entre future beats, soultronica, hip-hop underground et jazz (matazz). Des artistes comme AbJo, ERIMAJ, Shigeto, Mo Kolours, Chet Faker et BADBADNOTGOOD sont de la partie. Et puis, il y a ceux qu'on n'a pas réussi à inclure dans ce projet pour de multiples raisons. C'est le cas notamment de Fresh Daily & $trictly Busine$$, avec leur incendiaire Bedstuy Bullet Dodge que voici en bonus pour fêter cette sortie comme il se doit.

It's the D Day for Digging the Blogosphere ! The compilation is now available on the ITunes Store and on all the others legal downloading platforms. For the double LP (a limited 500 copies edition), you'll still have to wait until march the 19th to go deep into this selection of 14 pearls discovered on internet. We've thought this project like a musical journey into future beats, soultronica, hip-hop underground and jazz (matazz), with artists like AbJo, ERIMAJ, Shigeto, Mo Kolours, Chet Faker and BADBADNOTGOOD. To celebrate this digital release, here is in bonus, a track we haven't been able to include in the compilation : the dazzling Bedstuy Bullet Dodge from Fresh Daily & $trictly Busine$$.

L'idée nous trottait dans la tête depuis pas mal de temps, on a sauté le pas il y a quelques mois et elle arrive enfin ! La compilation Digging the Blogosphere sortira le 12 mars en double LP collector (500 exemplaires) et quatre jours plus tard en digital. Ce projet est le fruit de nos recherches passionnées et effrénées sur le net pour dénicher la perle rare et soutenir tous ces nouveaux magiciens du sons qui, en marge des circuits traditionnels, diffusent leur musique sur la toile via des blogs et des plateformes comme Bandcamp et Soundcloud. Au programme : future beats, soultronica, cyber-funk, jazz & hip-hop 2.0, 14 artistes parmi lesquels, BADBADNOTGOOD, Mo Kolours, ERIMAJ, Shigeto, AbJo, Guts, KRTS, et une compile du 3e type signée Heavenly Sweetness !

The idea was on our minds for a long time, we made the leap a few months ago and it's finally coming ! The "Digging the Blogosphere" compilation will be released the 12th of march in double collector LP (500 copies) and four days later in digital format. This project is the result of our passionate search on the internet to find the rare jewel and to support all those new wizards of sound who, on the fringe of traditional circuits, spread their music on the web thanks to blogs and platforms like Bandcamp and Soundcloud. On the menu : future beats, soultronica, cyber-funk, jazz & hip-hop 2.0, fourteen artists among whom are BADBADNOTGOOD, Mo Kolours, ERIMAJ, Shigeto, AbJo, Guts KRTS...and a compilation of the third kind signed Heavenly Sweetness !

RIP JEF GILSON

Nous avons appris avec beaucoup de tristesse la mort de Jef Gilson il y a 15 jours. Pianiste émérite, compositeur, producteur avec son lable PALM et passionné de Madagascar, il laisse derrière lui un riche héritage à (re)decouvrir. Il existe deux compilations retraçant sa carrière : "Zao" réalisé notamment par Antoine Rajon sorti il y a quelques années sur Isma'a et plus récemment une compilation éponyme sortie sur Jazzman. En espérant, qu'il accède enfin à la reconnaissance et à la notoriété qu'il mérite.

Sadly Jef Gilson passed away two weeks ago. Great Jazz pianist, composer, producer with his label PALM and big fan of Madagascar island, he left behind him a rich legacy to (re)discover. There are two compilation on his carrer : "Zao" made by our friend Antoine Rajon on Isma'a and more recently a great compilation done by Gerald Jazzman. We hope he will posthumously acceed to the notoriety he desserved.

HEAVENLY SWEETNESS INVITE PAR JAZZ A FIP

Heavenly Sweetness was invited few weeks ago at "Jazz à FIP", the daily jazz program of FIP (one of the station of Radio France, french national radio group, a good one for sure!). The topic was the last Blue note reissue seris and a global overview of the label. sorry that's a french speaking program but music is there! you can listen it here

Attendu depuis de nombreuses semaines, le successeur de “Bad bad things” est enfin dans les bacs!! Du moins en CD et en digital, il faudra attendre encore 15 jours pour le vinyle. Au menu de ce deuxième album, les mêmes groove souful avec comme d’habitude de nombreux invités (surtout au chant) : Hugh Coltman sur le 1er single “Hercules“, la voix d’or du jamaicain Courtney John sur deux titres dont l’excellent et éponyme “Warm my soul“, le rappeur Aqueel, Jadan, et les cuivres de l’excellent groupe d’Ethio jazz Akalé Wubé. voila de quoi réchauffer les âmes et les oreilles!!

With his second album, Blundetto digs further his own sound, a soulful reggae with strong latin and hip hop vibes. Once again, he invited many artists to collaborate with him : the singer Hugh Coltman for the cover of soul classic “Hercules”, ethio jazz band Akale Wube for strong cinematic instrumentals, legendary skater Tommy Guerrero for folky guitars, the golden voice of Jamaican Courntey Love, the rapper Aqueel on 2 songs, Jahdan Blakkamoore on the “Walk away now”
