Si vous gardez une certaine nostalgie du hip-hop 90's et que tomber sur un sample vous procure régulièrement un orgasme auditif, alors vous connaissez certainement la série Dusty Fingers. Depuis une dizaine d'années, ces compilations pas très officielles distillent des titres soul, funk, jazz et library dont le dénominateur commun est la présence d'imparables breaks funky, bien souvent recyclés par des producteurs mythiques tels DJ Premier, Diamond D ou Madlib pour n'en citer que quelques-uns.
Sur le volume 17 paru il y a quelques mois, on trouve cette atomique relecture du classique de Gato Barbieri sur laquelle il ne manque pas grand chose, excepté, peut-être, le flow de Quasimoto.

On the last chapter (17th), you can find this astounding cover of Gato Barbieri's classic. Perfect latin-psychedelic cocktail. But, if I were the bartender, I would add some Quasimoto's flow.
